NEW COVID-19 HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINES

 

 

 

 

Safety & Sanitation the Balance Way

The safety and well-being of our guests and team remains our highest priority. We have always adhered to the strict sanitation guidelines required by our industry. We have additionally implemented the new protocols put forth by the state and federal government in specific regard to COVID-19. We will continue to monitor these and adapt our practices accordingly. We do ask that everyone bear with us as we navigate this new normal. We are committed to everyone’s safety while delivering the spa services you love.  Please, be patient as we work hard to get this right.

 

 

 

Our Continued Commitment to Clean

• We have installed an iWave air purifying system which kills mold, bacteria and viruses in the air, as well as reducing allergens. This creates a

  healthy environment without producing any harmful byproducts.

• The sanitation product we use is EPA registered, hospital-grade and ECO-friendly for people and the planet. High-traffic areas are sanitized

  several times every hour.

• Guests will be asked to wash/sanitize their hands when they enter the spa. We will have alcohol-based hand sanitizers readily available

  throughout the spa.

• All tools, stations, and work areas are sanitized in between each guest. Single-use, disposable items are thrown away after each client. All of our

  team members have been certified in proper sanitation and disinfection procedures. These procedures are consistent with the highest industry

  standards and CDC recommendations.

• We use a professional commercial laundry service. Clean laundry is stored separately from soiled laundry and handled in compliance with best

  sanitation practices.  

 

 

 

Employee Guidelines

• Employees will be evaluated upon entering the facility including a temperature check. Any employee with a temperature over 100 will be sent

  home and will not return to work without a doctor's written consent.

• Our employees will not come to work if they are sick.

• Our staff is certified in Rejuvenate disinfectants and Barbicide infection control best practices.  They have been re-certified in our standard

  sanitation protocol, as well as trained in all enhanced measures.

• All employees will be required to wear proper PPE as it pertains to their department including masks, face shields/protective eye wear, and

  gloves.

• Each treatment room will be disinfected between each guest. All tools will be disinfected according to state and CDC guidelines or (if single use),

  disposed of after use.

 

 

 

Special Precautions

• We have increased the time between appointments to allow for comprehensive cleaning and sanitation.

• In compliance with government regulations, waiting rooms and lounge areas are closed. The locker room is accessible for rest rooms use only.

• We are currently not offering beverages and snacks. We encourage guests to bring their own water if needed.

• Please minimize any coats and/or pocketbooks, bags, etc. brought into the spa.

• We will be following social distancing guidelines of 6’. Floor markers have been installed to direct the flow of traffic.

• Acrylic partitions have been installed at our front desk.

• We may have a limited service menu when we initially open.  We anticipate this will be a short term accommodation.

 

 

 

Scheduling Appointments

• We will require an appointment in order to provide services and are not accepting walk-ins.

• Online booking will not be available when we initially re-open.  Please book appointments by calling us at (978) 851-9898.

• We continue to accept multiple forms of payment and offer non-contact payment options.  Gratuities may be placed on credit cards.

• Guests will receive a call and/or text confirmation message before their appointment. Health guidelines will be reiterated at this time.  Guests  

  will be required to complete a health check prior to entering the spa (including a temperature check).

• Due to limited capacity, our cancellation policy has been changed to require 48-hours notice to avoid a cancellation fee. Charges will be waived due to illness.  No-shows will be charged in full.

 

 

 

When You Arrive

• Please text us when you arrive for your appointment.  We will let you know when we are ready for you to enter the spa. If you do not have a

  mobile phone, please call us prior to leaving your home with an estimated time of arrival and your vehicle make/model so we can look for you.

• Everyone must wear a mask in the spa. Your practitioner will direct you when you are receiving a facial or waxing service how to proceed with

  adjusting the mask for your service. Please wear a mask that has ear loops.  If you do not have one, we will provide one for you.

• Guest temperatures will be checked via contact-less thermometer and you will be asked to wash or sanitize your hands upon entering the spa.

• Unless the guest is a minor, or there is a medical need, we will be enforcing a no-companion policy. Guests will be seen one at a time.

• Our indoor waiting areas, locker rooms and lounges are temporarily closed.

 

 

 

After Your Service

• Guests will be escorted to the front desk immediately after service.  The state has mandated common areas to be closed. We will not have a

  relaxation area or nail drying area during this time.

• A $2.50 Care Charge and payment will be added to each transaction to support our additional supply costs of required PPE for staff and clients. 

• We will be pleased to assist guests with retail purchases.  We will also be continuing curbside pickup for product purchase when you don’t have

  an appointment.

• We continue to accept multiple forms of payment and offer non-contact payment options.  Gratuities may be placed on credit cards.
